Heavy rain will continue in the northeast this morning and may cause localised flooding. It will stay dull and damp across the north and east through much of the day as further outbreaks of rain move northwards. Scattered showers will affect the west and southwest and some of those will be heavy. Blustery in the northeast with moderate to fresh easterly winds, light to moderate elsewehere. Highest temperatures will range between 3 degrees in the north and 10 degrees in the south.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with mist and fog. Patchy rain will continue in northern areas, with scattered showers further south, heaviest and most frequent in the southwest. Winds will become light easterly or variable and lowest temperatures will range from 3 to 7 degrees.
Mist and fog in some areas tomorrow morning. Cloud and patchy rain will persist in northern areas but it will become mainly dry elsewhere, however scattered heavy showers will affect the south and sunshine will be limited. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light and variable winds.
Overview: Staying unsettled with low pressure in charge bringing further spells of rain or showers but temperatures hovering around or slightly above average.
Saturday Night: A rather cloudy night then with a few showers across Munster and a few drifting in over east Leinster and Ulster. Dry elsewhere with winds falling light. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees. Some mist and fog patches forming too.
Sunday: Any lingering mist and fog will clear but it will remain cloudy overall. Showers will move in over Munster and south Leinster during the morning and afternoon but staying mostly dry elsewhere. Southerly breeze will strengthen with highs of 7 to 11 degrees.
Sunday Night: Cloudy with showers becoming widespread for a time later in the night. Rain will move in across the south of the country overnight too, becoming heavy at times. South to southeast breezes will be fresh at times with lows of 4 to 8 degrees.
Monday: A cloudy and unsettled day with rain spreading throughout the southern half of the country from early morning. Cloudy elsewhere with some patchy light rain. Winds will become more easterly and freshen about the coasts. Highs of 7 to 11 degrees.
Tuesday: The unsettled weather is likely to continue with low pressure remaining in charge bring spells of rain, which will be heavy at times and some blustery winds too. Highs a little milder though at 8 to 11 degrees.
