Wet and rather windy on Sunday morning with fresh to strong south to southeast winds. A clearance to scattered showers and sunny spells will follow by evening. The winds will veer southwesterly and gradually moderate. Highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees.
Overview: Remaining unsettled into next week with wet and sometimes windy weather
Sunday night: Scattered showers will become largely confined to the western half of the country on Sunday night with long clear spells developing elsewhere. Cool, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.
Monday: Many places dry and crisp to begin with sunny spells, however showers in Atlantic coastal counties will spread eastwards through the afternoon and evening. Some of the showers could be heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Feeling fresher compared to the weekend with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in a moderate, occasionally fresh southwest wind.
Monday night: Outbreaks of rain will push into the southwest, spreading northeastwards overnight. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees, and becoming windy with fresh to strong cyclonic variable winds.
Tuesday: Damp and cloudy to begin with outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy at times. Brightening up from the west later in the day with a few showers following. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in mostly moderate southeast winds, breezier though for east and southeast counties.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with further outbreaks of rain pushing into the west, clearing eastwards in the evening with showers following into Atlantic coastal counties. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with fresh southerly winds, veering westerly later on.
Further outlook: A mobile Atlantic flow will dominate bringing mixed and unsettled weather.
